Architect: James Gower
James Gower Residential Design

Total Sq. Ft.: 1942  Bedrooms: 3  Baths: 2.5

This compact cottage is just 32'–wide, so it will fit easily on a small or narrow lot. The warmth of wood featured on the exterior, with its wood siding and cedar shingles, leads to interior wood members throughout the house. The master suite is upstairs, along with two more bedrooms and an office space off an open loft. If you choose to construct the basement level, it's designed to have a full guest suite and a large recreation area.

Sunlit Cottage

Architect: Michael J. Eckhardt

Total Sq. Ft.: 3418  Bedrooms: 4  Baths: 3.5

This home was originally built on a slightly sloping lot with additional bedrooms on the lower level. The rooms are built out to maximize windows for views out and sunlight, and the house includes a screened porch with a fireplace, a formal dining room, and a study. The master bedroom, hearth room, breakfast nook, kitchen and screened porch are all in a line beneath a tall vaulted ceiling. On the lower level there are three more bedrooms, a family room, and the laundry.

Urban Cottage

Architect: Michael J. Eckhardt

Total Sq. Ft.: 2737  Bedrooms: 3  Baths: 2.5

This charming house has a unique blend of different styles, and its narrow width makes it ideal for smaller lots. The front entry is framed with square boxed columns, and directly above the entry there is a balcony porch that is framed with tapered Doric style columns. This home offers generous–sized living spaces, and an optional basement with an open family room, an office, and a fourth bedroom.

Cozy Cottage

Architect: Ed Kriskywicz
Construction Design

Total Sq. Ft.: 2680  Bedrooms: 3  Baths: 2.0

The plans for this cozy one–story cottage call for shingle siding above stone veneer, but of course any materials could be used to clad the exterior. Round columns frame the covered entry porch, and support the curved roof above the front door. The porch is 8' deep and nearly 20' across, so there's plenty of room for outdoor furniture. The great room is quite spacious, and it features a ceiling that's just over 14', a fireplace that can also be enjoyed from the kitchen, and great views to both the front and the rear. The master suite is located on one side of the house, and two more bedrooms are on the opposite side.
