This house seems to fit everyone's memory of old farmhouses. It's been a best–seller for as long as we've been in business, and when you see the photographs you will see why. Like all great farmhouses, it features clean outer walls that rise straight from the ground to the eaves of the gabled roof, and a covered porch next to a screened porch span the entire front of the house.

Craftsman detailing adds to the appearance of this classic farm–style home. The master bedroom and all of the main living spaces enjoy terrific views to the rear, as do the three additional bedrooms on the second level. There's also a deck that spans the entire width of the house at the rear. The great room ceiling soars to 19' in the middle, and all the living spaces are open to each other.

This home has many of the exterior characteristics we associate with classic farmhouses – a covered wraparound porch beneath a low–pitched roof, hipped dormers projecting from a simple roof over the main portion of the house, and an aura of understated elegance. Unlike farmhouses in the past, however, this home features a master suite on the main level, an open floor plan, and an optional elevator serving all 3 floors. If you choose to build the basement it can be easily modified into an in–law apartment.

This house is composed of unique separate elements that fit together perfectly. A rectangular "silo" at the front encases a light–filled spiral staircase that leads to the upper level, where there are two bedrooms with tremendous views to the rear and sides, and a lovely sitting area. There's a screened porch off the master bedroom and the living room, and a large deck that wraps around the dining room. The original homeowners used the front portion of the long living room as a music space with a grand piano.

This handsome farmhouse would fit well in nearly any region or neighborhood. The master suite is located on the main level, and upstairs there are three additional bedrooms, along with a large rec room. An 8'–deep covered porch spans the entire front of the house before wrapping around one side, and there's another at the rear off the great room. The garage has space for two vehicles and a good sized shop, and there's space above it for a bonus room and attic storage.
