Corner Casita was designed for a corner lot. Originally built with green building materials, and oriented for passive solar, it earned a three star rating with Austin's prestigious Green Builder Program. Green building features include deep roof overhangs, bamboo floors, and reflective materials in the metal siding, metal roof and concrete block walls. This contemporary home was designed to be economical to build, with minimal impact on the environment.

The main floor of Corner Casita offers an open and flexible plan, which allows it to be easily modified for narrow lots by switching the entry door and closet locations. With no visual barriers between the living, dining and kitchen, the space has an open feeling, with abundant windows and views to the trellised courtyard. The kitchen offers a walk–in pantry and an extra storage room.

The second floor has a bonus room at the top of the stairs that can be used as a study, a reading room or a playroom. The master bath features a built–in hamper, which goes through the floor to the laundry room directly below.
