The Lake Cabin is an impressive three bedroom home that has a rugged exterior look – with its exterior lap siding and cedar corner boards – but the interior has a luxurious look and feel to it. This home provides plenty of interior and exterior spaces to enjoy, with each of the three levels extending out to exterior wood decks at the back of the house, and an exterior fireplace to warm you on cold nights. With its width measuring 32', this house would work well for those with narrow lots.

One enters the house at the modest entry at the side of the house. This lower entry room has access to the two car garage and to the laundry room with a toilet. After going up the stairs to the second level, you enter the second entry hall. To the right is another hall foyer, which has doors to the two bedrooms and bathroom. This foyer has a sliding pocket door, enabling you to close off this portion of the house. To the left of the entry hall you enter the great room, which has a grand central fireplace, and is flanked on both sides by a window and door opening to the outdoor deck. On the north side of the great room is a large and roomy kitchen with an oversized pantry room.

The entire second floor is devoted to the master bedroom suite. It has a large master dressing room, which has access to more storage space in the attic. The spacious bathroom offers an individual toilet room, as well as a separate shower and bathtub. There is a two–sided gas fireplace to be enjoyed from both the bedroom and bathroom. The north side of the room opens up to a large exterior deck with a tower–like hearth extending from the main level, which houses the exterior wood burning fireplace.

This house was originally designed to have a crawlspace foundation. However, if you prefer a basement or slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you.
