Description
This home was originally designed for a sloping lot in the mountains, and takes advantage of the sunlight with its use of abundant windows and central atrium skylight. The stone columns, wood siding, and wood timber elements give this house a rustic appeal that would fit in most anywhere.
This home may be built without the basement level, depending on your site condition, and/or if you do not need the extra square footage. The entry door can be easily relocated to the Main floor level, at the existing Nook area. With the basement level, the square footage of the home increases to 3,420. Because of the existing site conditions, the basement level is considered the ground floor, where the entry foyer is located, which is accessed by either the front door or by the garage. There is a walk–in closet off the foyer, and a sitting room to the left. At this level there is also a bedroom with a walk–in closet and a full bath.
At the second floor landing, you're greeted with sunlight coming in from the hall window and the opening above, which also provides a view to the roof skylight. The open dining room and kitchen have abundant windows, and access to the rear and front decks. A well–lit nook makes a good place for a desk, or for reading. The living room features a central fireplace and built–in cabinets. Down the hall are a bath with shower, a laundry room, and a bedroom/den.
The third floor features a master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, and a spacious bath that has both a shower and a tub, and a walk–in closet. The master bedroom has a large nook that can used as an office. Part of the office space sits under the slope of the roof, and has a skylight above that brings in natural light. On this floor there is also another bedroom and full bath, and a bonus storage room.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
