Description
As you approach this unique cottage, you cross an open sun deck that is covered as you pass between two large decorative columns. Along the deck's width there are three pairs of doors filled with multi–paned glass that open to the great room. A storage space is conveniently located next to the deck. On the upper level, there's a bunk room that could easily be converted into the master bedroom.
The great room is more than 30' wide, and there's a large fireplace on the far wall flanked by pairs of windows facing the rear of the house. Next to it is the dining room. The opening is flanked by decorative columns, and the entire corner of the room is wrapped in windows. The kitchen is situated next to the dining room, and it too has an entire corner wrapped in windows.
On the other side of the great room, one door opens to a screened porch while another opens to the stairs to the basement level. When you reach the top of the stairs to the upper level – having passed a window seat on the first landing – there's a long 6'–wide gallery that provides access to the three bedrooms and one full bath. While the center (larger) bedroom was originally designed as a bunk room, it could just as easily become the master bedroom.
The basement was left unfinished.
