Description
This home speaks of tradition and craftsmanship, but the living spaces are completely contemporary. Stone veneer at the basement level grounds the home, and contrasts nicely with the wood siding and wood brackets and trim. Spaces are efficiently laid out, with the kitchen, dining and living areas on the view side, and service spaces conveniently grouped on the other. Up the open staircase are three bedrooms, two baths, and an office/guest room.
You may enter the house through the garage, which brings you to the mudroom, or through the entry foyer. The living room features a fireplace and a window seat, and leads into the open dining room. Wood posts and beams complement the wood floors, and help to differentiate spaces in the open room. Windows line the wall, and doors open up to a verandah for outdoor dining. Through the U–shape kitchen, which features a small island, is a hallway with a half–bath and a pantry, and the door to the back porch. The service spaces are grouped on this side of the house, with plenty of cupboard space for storage, and a laundry room.
The stairwell is lit from the skylight above, and brings you to the master bedroom and two additional bedrooms. There is a full bath to share, and a half–bath too.
The basement holds a spacious recreation room, storage, a guest room with full bath, and a possible kitchenette if an in–law is desired.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
