Description
This home is ideal for a large or growing family. Including the basement, this is a 6–bedroom house with a relatively small footprint and a flexible and functional floor plan. The exterior features beveled cedar siding, abundant windows and skylights, and unique rooflines. It was designed for a site with a side view, either to the right (as drawn), or to the left (if reversed).
Coming off the entry porch, the foyer opens up to one large open living area that includes the living room, dining area, and kitchen. The living room features a large stone hearth in the corner, and a bumped–out bay window facing the front. The ceiling in the living/dining area rises from 8' at the outer wall on the left side of the house (where the entry porch and stairs are) to 11'6" before dropping a foot at the wall of the sun porch, and it continues to drop back to 8' at the porch wall where it meets the deck. Sliding glass doors in the living room open to the sun porch, and all the windows on the porch facing the deck are sliding with screens behind them.
Next to the open kitchen are the stairs to the lower level, the laundry room, and a full bath that services bedrooms 1 and 2. Both bedrooms features windows on two walls for light, views, and ventilation.
The basement level has up to four additional bedrooms, all of which have windows for natural daylight. There's also a full bath, a playroom, and room for storage.
