Description
This two–bedroom home was originally built next to a river, and has a large back deck for outdoor views. Exposed wood beams accentuate the sloped roof, and the wood valleys create a decorative pattern. There is also a one–car garage with an unfinished basement on the bottom floor.
After coming up the stairs to the rear deck to enter the house, you enter an open living space with a kitchen to the right. A vaulted ceiling is above, and glazed windows go up to the ceiling to bring in light and views. A wood stove is located in one corner and a stairwell to the basement is in the center. On the other side of the house are two bedrooms, and two full baths.
A library ladder leads to an upper loft, which is located above the bedrooms. The windows in the loft make it an ideal area for reading or playing.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a slab foundation. You can of course change it to a full or partial basement, or to a crawlspace, but you will need the help of a local builder or designer, and the new foundation plans should be reviewed by a structural engineer prior to construction.
