Description
This is a slightly smaller version of the original Bay Wood plan. Like the original, this home has large windows located to take advantage of multiple views from almost all the rooms. In this version, the small living room, and bedroom 3 above it (as they appear in the floor plans for the original) have been eliminated, while the study on the upper level has been converted to replace bedroom 3, resulting in a more compact floor plan.
With its angled front entry placed towards the center, this house can be oriented in a number of directions to suit your view and your lot. Upon entering the house, you find yourself in the living/dining area, with a stairwell to the right and a coat closet straight ahead. The living/dining space features a window seat with built–in storage, and a full wall of windows at the far end of the room. Like the rest of the rooms on the main level, it has an impressive 9' ceiling.
The family room, kitchen and nook are all enclosed in one large space, completely open to each other. Like the living/dining space, the family room also has an entire wall of windows at the far end, and sliding glass doors on an adjacent wall open to a deck or patio. There's also a large fireplace in the corner.
A large free standing counter with an eating/serving bar separates the kitchen from the family room. The kitchen also has a large center island, plenty of counter and cabinet space, and a trio of windows over the sinks. Next to it and the family room is a charming nook that's wrapped with windows and sliding glass doors on three sides. Just off the kitchen is a short hallway that accesses a mudroom, a powder room, stairs to the optional lower level, and a two–car garage. The homeowners installed an outdoor shower just off a small deck outside the mudroom.
At the top of the stairs to the upper level there's a door that opens to the laundry room. Just to your right there's another door that leads to an optional 4th bedroom with its own full bath. One short hall off the landing leads to bedroom 2, which has its own full bath, while another leads to the master suite.
The master bedroom has a ceiling that vaults to nearly 13'. The far wall has one very large picture window flanked by glazed doors that open to a private balcony. Windows on the two adjacent walls expand the view. The master bath has two sinks, a large tub beneath a trio of corner windows, and a large shower. An extra–large walk–in closet is positioned next to the bath.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
