Description
This home was originally built on a sloped lot, and takes advantage of rear views with large picture windows in the living/dining area. The front of the house appears to be one story, but the lower level opens to the backyard with windows and a glazed door for sunshine and fresh air.
As you come off the covered front porch you enter the foyer, which has coat closets and a stairwell to the lower level. The open living/dining area straight ahead draws your attention to outdoor views through the picture windows and the quarter round windows above them. The rear walls are angled to capture more views, and the vaulted wood ceiling with exposed wood beams creates an impressive space. On one side of the room is a fireplace hearth and built in bookshelves. The room is open to the kitchen, which has a breakfast bar that separates the two spaces. If you turn left from the entry, there is a small hall that leads to a full bathroom and a master bedroom with a walk–in closet. If you turn right at the entry, past the open kitchen, there is a laundry room with room for storage, and stairs that lead down to the garage.
On the lower level, a large recreation room sits below the living room above, and mimics the angled rear walls. Glazed windows and a glazed door bring in sunlight as well as outdoor views. A freestanding wood stove is located on one side to warm the lower level. A hall leads to two more bedrooms and a full bath. On the other side of the room, a pair of doors leads to a storage room and a mechanical room.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
