Steep roofs, punctuated by abundant dormers with windows, characterize this light–filled home. It was originally designed for a sloped lot, so the front appears to be two floors, but at the rear it's three levels if you build the basement level.

The covered front porch is framed by a stone arched opening, and leads to an entry foyer with a central staircase. To the right are a pair of doors to a study and to a small vestibule with a coat closet that leads to a powder room. Straight ahead is an open living space, with sliding glass doors that lead to an outdoor deck. The living room has a fireplace hearth, flanked by built–ins on either side, and is open to the dining area and the kitchen. The kitchen has a curved center island with an extended counter for eating, and has doors to a screened porch, which also opens onto the rear deck. A door from the living space leads to a mudroom, which connects to a two–car garage with a shop area.

After coming upstairs, the master suite is to the left. The master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, a walk–in closet, and a bathroom with a toilet room, and both a shower and a tub. There are also two more bedrooms on this floor that share a full bath, a laundry room, and a bonus room.

The basement level has a large family room that walks out to the rear patio, and a nook for an exercise room. There is also a mechanical room, a study, a full bath, and a wine cellar/storage room.
