Description
This three–bedroom home has simple craftsman details, with tapered columns, wood brackets, and exposed rafter tails. The inviting front porch has tapered wood columns atop brick pedestals, and has room for outdoor furniture to enjoy the weather.
After coming off of the covered front porch, you enter the living room, which has a cathedral ceiling and soffits at two walls with built–in lighting. The living room is open to the dining room, which has a raised eating counter that divides it from the kitchen. As you go down the hall, you pass the kitchen on the left, which has an opening to a mudroom that accesses the optional carport. A door from the mudroom opens to a utility/laundry room. Next to the kitchen is a full bath, and across the hall are two bedrooms. A niche in the hallway provides space for a hutch or another piece of furniture. At the end of the hall is a door to the master suite. The master bedroom has a full bath, a cathedral ceiling, and soffits along all four walls with built–in lighting. A door from the master bedroom walks out to a covered deck at the rear.
Please Note
Because of this home's small footprint, the architect was able to draw these plans on 11" x 17" sheets, instead of the more typical 18" x 24", or 24" x 36" sheets. This is quite helpful to the builder, as small sheets are much easier to handle.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a slab foundation. You can of course change it to a full or partial basement, or to a crawlspace, but you will need the help of a local builder or designer, and the new foundation plans should be reviewed by a structural engineer prior to construction.
