Description

This cottage was originally designed to be located next to a lake, with views to the surrounding countryside. The living spaces are extended to the outdoors through the covered deck, exposed deck, and the screened porch.

After entering the foyer space from the covered entry porch, there is a stairwell straight ahead, and a full bath with a laundry area to the left. As you walk towards the public living spaces, you pass a bedroom on your left. The living room has a ceiling that vaults to 21', a fireplace to one side, and windows and a pair of glazed doors that look out to the covered deck. Next to the living room is a dining room, which is open to the kitchen. A door from the dining room leads to a screened porch, making it convenient to dine there if desired. The screened porch also has a vaulted ceiling, with upper windows that reach the slope of the roof, for additional light and views, and it has a door to an open deck.

The upper level is devoted to a master suite and a home office. The master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling that rises to 13', and a spacious master bath and closet. A small balcony looks down to the living room, and leads to an office space, which also has a vaulted ceiling.

The lower level has a bedroom, a full bath with a sauna, a mechanical room, and a spacious exercise/recreation room. The open exercise room has a fireplace hearth to warm the lower level, and a pair of doors that walk out to the side patio.

Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
