Description
Everything about this home is unique! The handsome front of the house features mixed rooflines like none you've ever seen before; the rear is distinguished by two curved walls around the master bedroom and the master bath, and a curved stone patio that mimics them; and the stunning interior features two wings – one for living and dining, and another for sleeping.
A tall, covered entryway leads to an airlock entry vestibule that will keep hot or cold air from entering the home. The generous–sized and open foyer provides access to a walk–in coat closet, a powder room, and an open staircase. As you pass the powder room, you'll also find access to the laundry room, the 3–car (plus storage) garage, and the stairs to the lower level. As you pass the stairway, you may turn left to enter the master suite, continue straight through sliding glass doors to the rear patio, or turn right to enter the "living" areas of the house.
The original owner obviously wanted a master suite that was both stunningly beautiful and utterly unique, and the architect clearly delivered on both elements! The elegantly curved outer walls of both the master bedroom and the bathroom are lined with tall windows, providing abundant natural light and views. The bedroom features a vanity, a huge walk–in closet, and a two–sided fireplace between it and the tub in the bathroom. The master bath also features a large shower, two separated sinks, a small sitting area, and a private toilet.
The open living area on the main floor sits at an angle to the front of the house, once again providing unique yet functional space. The open kitchen has a walk–in pantry, and a long angled island serves both the dining room and a casual eating area that's nestled into a curved wall of windows facing the rear patio. The long dining room has a cozy fireplace at one end, and it is open to the kitchen, the family room, and a sunken living room. An optional 4–sided fireplace is located between the family room and the living room. Four sliding glass doors in the family room walk out and look out on the large, curving patio.
The upstairs landing opens up to an open study/reading area. In one corner there is a door to a full bath with a curved outer wall. Two large bedrooms with wall–length closets are located on this floor, and a spiral staircase off of the landing leads to an unfinished attic.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
