Description

This charming 3–story cottage has an extremely small footprint. The house is just 22'6" wide, and only 28' deep. The original homeowners used it as a vacation getaway, but it's suitable for year–round use.

The front door opens to the open great room and kitchen, with a stairway on the right to the upper levels. The middle of the kitchen space is occupied by a large center island with a range and a wrap–around breakfast bar. Just to the side is a pantry, a desk area, and a powder room.

The master suite occupies the entire second level. Two doors in the bedroom walk out to a wrap–around covered balcony. The master bath has room for both a tub and a shower, and two sinks. Included on this level is a walk–in closet and a laundry room.

The third floor is where bedroom 2 is located, along with a full bath and a walk–in closet. The ceiling on the main level is 10', and 9' on the upper levels. On the third level, bedroom 2 has a door that leads to a storage space/nook. This storage room, as well as the full bath on this level, have ceilings that follow the slope of the roof.

Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a slab foundation. You can of course change it to a full or partial basement, or to a crawlspace, but you will need the help of a local builder or designer, and the new foundation plans should be reviewed by a structural engineer prior to construction.
