Description

As you enter the home off the covered entry porch, there is a spacious mudroom to the left, and a half bath to the right. Straight ahead is a dining room that opens onto a screen porch and a sun deck. To the right is a stairwell which is bathed in natural light from the windows and the skylight above. The dining room is open to both the spacious kitchen and the great room. The great room features a vaulted ceiling, and projects into the exterior world with a 180-degree view. It is anchored by a gas fireplace that is strategically placed in the heart of the home, allowing many of the rooms to enjoy glimpses of the stonework. From the great room you may go to the away room, or the master bedroom suite.

The second floor includes a small loft space that has an open view to the great room below, two bedrooms at either end of the house, one full bath, and storage closets. The bedrooms sit under the slope of the roof. The small nooks are at the lowest point of the roof, where the ceiling nearly reaches the floor, but it provides a skylight for extra light and for emergency egress. You may also build an optional full height dormer at this location for more usable space. Instead of having an open loft to the great room below, you have the option to build a third upper bedroom under the slopes of the roof.
