Description

This contemporary home was originally built on a site surrounded by trees. It features abundant glazing and skylights, a wrap–around deck to enjoy the outdoors, and an upper loft.

After going through the exterior courtyard, you find yourself in the tiled entry foyer. The solar thermal tiled floor of the foyer keeps the space cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Straight ahead are the living and dining spaces, with views to the outdoor deck beyond. A bay window is located in the dining room, as well as a door leading to the deck. A fireplace sits on a tiled hearth, and a wood box holds firewood for the winter months. To the right is an open kitchen with an eating area, and a large skylight that floods the room with sunlight. Doors lead to the wrap–around deck, extending the eating area to the outdoors. A spacious laundry room sits off of the kitchen, and features a sink, a utility closet, and counter space for folding clothes. Stairs lead to an upper loft, which sits above the garage. The large loft has its own private full bath, a wet bar, and storage closets. On the other side of the entry are two bedrooms, two hallway closets, and a master bedroom. The master bedroom has two separate wardrobe closets, one in the bedroom and the other in the dressing room. The master bath features both a tub and a shower, and is well lit from the skylight above.

Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a crawlspace foundation. However, if you prefer a basement or slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you.
