This three–bedroom cottage was originally built as a three–season vacation home near the shoreline of a lake, and is featured in "The New Cottage Home" by Taunton Press. It has tons of charm, and a cohesive, economic floor plan. The architect also utilized the surrounding indigenous materials of timber and stone. The home takes advantage of the views, natural light, and prevailing breeze, and provides a clear physical connection to the nearby lake via a three–sided deck.

You may enter the house from either the wrap–around porch, or from the back entry, which has a mudroom for taking off shoes and coats. The interior feels warm and rustic, with its wood flooring, ceiling, posts, and exposed beams. A stone fireplace hearth is prominently located in the center of the house, and faces the living room. On the other side of the fireplace is a wood stove to provide additional heat, with extra space for a reading chair or room to play. On one side of the wood stove is a dining area, and on the other side is an open kitchen with a small breakfast bar. Next to the dining room are a stairwell, a mudroom, a laundry room, and a full bath.

On the upper floor there is one large bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, and a full bath. The rooms sit under the slopes of the roof, creating vaulted ceilings and some additional height.
