The front of this house is fairly simple, as everything is focused on the lake at the rear. As you enter the house from the covered front porch, your view is to and through the main living areas, as the far walls of each space are composed mainly of windows. A hallway spanning most of the front of the house leads to the stairs to the lower level garage (should you choose to build it) if you turn left, and to the bedroom and bath if you turn right.

The living room is slightly sunken, creating a 9' ceiling in this space that contrasts with the 8' ceilings throughout the rest of the main level. A large stone fireplace is flanked by stairs that wrap around it to reach the couple's retreat on the upper level. The walls facing the lake and the side are composed primarily of windows, filling the room with light as well as providing great views.

The dining room is open to both the living room and kitchen, which flank it on either side. The kitchen features a large peninsula counter with knee room on the outer side for casual dining, corner sinks beneath a large window, and a glazed door that opens to a large patio at the rear of the house. The bedroom on this level has windows on two walls, and a door that opens to the outside.

The couple's room feels a bit like a tree house. The bedroom has two closets, a small library space, and a steeply–pitched ceiling that vaults to 16' in the center, while the bath has room for both a tub and a shower as well as two vanities.
