Description
The interior of this handsome two–story home features clean lines combined with beautiful wood details, which produce a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. The modest exterior materials – the plans call for a stucco finish, accented with stone veneer and wood details – should help to keep construction costs down.
The covered front porch is designed with a stone facade, and it provides plenty of room to sit and enjoy the outdoors. After entering the foyer, a pair of doors to your left leads to a study/guest room with a closet, and direct access to a full bath. Straight ahead is the dramatic great room. It features a 20' high ceiling, a fireplace, and windows along the rear wall that look out to the rear patio. On one side of the fireplace is a door that opens onto a covered patio, and on the other side is space for media, and a small vestibule with a coat closet and the full bathroom. To the right of the great room, past the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs, is a large kitchen with a sunlit breakfast nook and a walk–in pantry. The kitchen has a square center island, which has room for eating, and the breakfast nook has sliding glass doors that accesses the rear patio. From the kitchen, a door leads to a laundry room, which accesses the three–car garage. A built–in hutch is conveniently located next to an arched opening to a formal dining room with a tray ceiling.
Upstairs, the landing opens up to a large loft space with a balcony looking down to the great room, and windows looking out to the front, creating an ideal space for reading or for a playroom. The left wing is devoted to the master bedroom suite, which has a tray ceiling and sliding glass doors to a private deck. The large master bath area has a private toilet room, both a tub and a shower, two separate sinks, and a huge walk–in closet. The right wing has two more bedrooms, which are separated by a full bathroom with two sinks.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a basement foundation. However, if you prefer a crawlspace or a slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you. If the basement design is not displayed in the Floor Plans, it's because it is unfinished.
Electronic Format
These plans were drawn using a well–known and highly respected architectural design software program called SoftPlan (version 14). This software can export the same files in .dwg format, so they can also be modified by anyone who uses AutoCAD, which is nearly universal. The CD for this plan includes the files in both SoftPlan and AutoCAD–ready .dwg, as well as in .pdf for easy viewing on your home or office computer.
