Description

The covered entryway leads first to a wide and deep covered entry porch. From there double doors open to a large foyer with four stately columns and a ceiling that rises just over 19'. A stairwell is located to the right, and an arched opening around the corner to your left leads to a closet and a powder room. Straight ahead, as you pass beneath an upper bridge that is supported by the four columns, is a dramatic family room that again soars to 19'. It features hand–hewn wood beams, a fireplace on one side, and sliding glass doors with large picture windows above that walk out to the backyard.

The family room is open to a gourmet kitchen that is built around a center island with a sink, a dishwasher, and a breakfast bar. The spacious kitchen is also open to a casual dining area with a wall of windows on one side, sliding glass doors to the backyard, and a large arched opening to a recreation room. In the opposite corner of the kitchen, an L–shaped counter provides additional counter space as well as a prep sink. Next to it is an opening to a nook with a desk and a second freezer, and accesses a roomy walk–in pantry. Another opening from the kitchen leads to a mudroom with a coat closet and room for a bench and lockers, a laundry room, a powder room, and a door to an oversized three–car garage with two bay windows. You may find that the garage doors work better facing the front of the home, which would be quite easy to modify if needed.

An open recreation room next to the dining area has views left and right as well as out the back through sliding glass doors. Wood beams at the ceiling make the room feel intimate and warm. An ideal space for entertaining with its fireplace and wet bar, or for other family fun. A stairwell is located off of the recreation room that leads to the basement.

To the left of the family room, there is a library and a master bedroom. The library has 8' tall glass doors leading into it, and sliding glass doors that open and look out to a covered patio. It also shares a two–sided fireplace with the family room. Another pair of 8' doors lead to the master bedroom. It has a vaulted ceiling, a fireplace in one corner, and sliding glass doors that walk out to the rear with a dormer window above for additional sunlight and views. The large master bath has a tub located beneath a window in one corner, a separate steam room/shower, two separate sinks, a linen closet, and a private toilet room. An opening in the bath area leads to a huge walk–in closet with a window for natural light.

On the upper floor, a hallway bridge leading to a full bedroom suite looks down over railings on each side to the family room and foyer spaces below. The right wing of the upper floor has three bedrooms which all share a large full bath. A small closet accommodates a stacking washer/dryer as well.

If you choose to build the basement level, there is another open recreation room with a wet bar, a home theater room, a guest bedroom, a mechanical/laundry room, a linen closet, and a full bath.
