Description
This unique home splits into two separate wings at the diagonal entry, with all the common living spaces to the right, and the bedrooms to the left. Multiple rooflines, exposed roof details, and multi–paned windows combine beautifully with the rest of the house's understated appearance. A deck runs along the entire rear of the house, and a screened porch also in the rear is accessed by both the kitchen and the great room.
As mentioned above, after entering the house from the covered entryway you have a choice of either turning right or left. A large round window in this foyer space opens to the rear of the house, while an array of tall narrow windows faces front. A turn to the right immediately brings you to the great room. Shaped as a perfect square, the ceiling vaults from all four sides to the peak in the middle of the room. This room features a large fireplace, and sliding glass doors leading to the screened porch and to the rear deck.
A wide opening leads to the open dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen also has sliding glass doors that access the screened porch, and located just behind the kitchen there is a powder room and a laundry, with a door between them to the outdoors.
The other wing of the house is where the sleeping quarters are located. There are two bedrooms on the main level that share a full bath, and another set of sliding glazed doors in the hallway leading to the bedrooms, leads to the rear deck. Stairs lead up to the master suite on the second level. Windows surrounding the bedroom provide an abundance of light and views, and like the master bath it has a 9' ceiling. A large walk–in closet with two opposing entry points separates the bedroom from the bath.
Foundation Info
This house was originally designed to have a crawlspace foundation. However, if you prefer a basement or slab foundation, these are fairly simple and inexpensive changes that your builder can often make for you.
