The upper floor is designed for flexibility. The delightful staircase leading up to the reading loft is lined with shelves and openings. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face north.

Little Red House

This split-level design allows two walk-out bedrooms on the lower level and a master bedroom situated at tree-house level. Although just a tad over 2,000 square feet, the sloping ceilings and open floor plan create a spacious interior.
