Log columns at the covered entry and timber beams and columns inside complement this rustic home. The simple beauty of this unpretentious home comes primarily from its multiple and unique rooflines on the exterior, and from its polished concrete floor (with radiant hot water heating) and wood ceiling inside.

This home has exquisite French doors with an arched transom that accents the covered entrance. Along with the arched windows and 'Spanish' tile roof, this home evokes palm trees and sunshine.

This one–of–a–kind home was designed to capitalize on a site accessed from the downhill side, and with views on the downhill side. The facade of the original house was composed of stone veneer and thick lap siding, with lots of wood details at the gable, around the windows, and at the entryway. Antique wood beams and flooring that was reclaimed from an old mine were used liberally in the interior, adding a rustic feel to this otherwise contemporary home.

Eco Cottage is a unique home, with a very small footprint and two upper loft levels. With a tree house feel to it, the original home was built next to a bayou in Mississippi. The architect, whose focus is on ecologically–friendly design, used recycled windows and wood, and the walls and roof were constructed with SIPs (structural insulated panels). The use of a metal roof and metal siding provided a durable and cost–effective finish for the exterior.

This truly unique contemporary house is modest in size, super–insulated, and designed as a passive solar home. Architecturally, this visually stunning design uses a massing concept of two recognizable styles: a classic Greek Revival style with clapboarding; and a banded graphic wrap–around package that includes a pop–out round master bedroom deck.
