Originally designed for an energy efficient specialty builder, this two–story craftsman style house won an award from Efficiency Vermont. Red cedar shingles and decorative trim provide a slightly rustic look to this exceptional home. The many windows and expansive feeling on the first floor prove that a house need not be a windowless box to meet high standard energy codes, and leave a small carbon footprint.

This house, an update of a prairie farmstead, offers comfortable living in a traditional aesthetic. Simple detailing and shapes form an elegant rural character, maintaining an easy flow between the kitchen, dining and informal living room.

The Porch Cabin was inspired by cabins built in the early 1900's, and it features a screened porch that wraps around three sides of the house. It is reminiscent of the old-fashioned porch cabins that let weekenders visiting from the city sit outside and enjoy the fresh country air, even if it rained all weekend long.

Cupola roofs, copper spires, and decorative windows are only some of the architectural details that make this luxurious home unique. An outdoor masonry hearth, and a covered cabana with a serving bar and grill, allow you to do outdoor cooking and dining on either warm or cooler days.
