Total Sq. Ft.: 1294 Bedrooms: 2 Baths: 2.0
This little shingled house that sits on a peninsula in the Bagaduce River at the end of a long hay field is, more so than any other in the architect's collection, an experiment. It is the house the architect and his wife built for themselves, and it is an experiment about fitting a house to your life like a glove.

Total Sq. Ft.: 1879 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.5
This simple to construct brick–clad house has 3' wide doorways throughout for easy wheelchair access. Windows make up nearly the entire rear wall, bringing abundant light and views to the living areas of the house, as well as to the master bedroom and bedroom 3. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face north.
Architect:

Total Sq. Ft.: 3126 Bedrooms: 4 Baths: 3.5
This home was originally designed with a combination of wood shingles, wood siding, and wood trim on the exterior. The plans come with three slightly different front elevations for you to choose from, depending on your preferences.
Architect:
Dale Mulfinger, FAIA
SALA Architects, Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 1576 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.0
At home in nature, this charming home was designed to handle the extreme weather of the Minnesota countryside. While nearly identical to Rustic Retreat (by the same architect) on the outside, the interior is configured very differently. A massive stone chimney is located near the entrance.
Architect:
Ed Kriskywicz
Construction Design
Total Sq. Ft.: 1463 Bedrooms: 1 Baths: 1.0
This one bedroom home was originally designed to face north, with large expansive views in the great room. The wrap-around porch makes this home ideal for more secluded sites, or those with views. It would make a cozy retreat for those interested in smaller homes.
