This beautiful two–story home has both Craftsman and Tudor influences, resulting in a variety of wood details and trims. The stone at the base grounds the home, while the wood and window designs invite you in.

This house can blend in with a Craftsman neighborhood with narrow lots, or be built in the middle of the woods or in the country. The comfortable and inviting front porch leads to a foyer that brings you directly into the main living spaces of the home. The great room and dining area are surrounded by windows that provide views of the outdoors along with abundant natural light. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face west (or east if reversed).

The Rainbow home is a one–story plan with a few curves to brighten the simple lines. The great room, dining area, and part of the kitchen have raised tray ceilings. The great room features a large bay nook in front for overnight guests, or for curling up with a great book. Most of the doorways are wide enough for wheelchair access, and many of them are pocket doors that can be left open without being in the way. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face west (or east if reversed).

This home has many of the attributes of an island home, with a stucco exterior, wrap around deck, and outdoor shower. However, it can easily blend into a suburban setting as well.
