Northern Lights 3 is a relatively simple home to build, and it has a wonderfully open character. The wide entry porch wraps around the entire side of the house, all the way to the rear left corner off the breakfast nook. Upon entering the house through double French doors, you're looking into the great room, and beyond to the view. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face north.

This house can blend in with a Craftsman neighborhood with narrow lots, or be built in the middle of the woods or in the country. This is a reversed and shortened version of the original Sunset Bungalow, with a garage instead of a carport, and another bedroom where the shop had been. It will fit on a shallower lot, yet have more living area without the shop. If you wish to take advantage of its passive solar design, the front of this house should face east (or west if reversed).
