SALA Architects, Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 2880 Bedrooms: 4 Baths: 3.5
This beautiful home was originally built in Illinois, and is inspired by the Chicago Arts and Crafts bungalows. Designed by Michaela Mahady (the architect who designed our most popular home, the Maple Forest) and Debra Kees of SALA Architects, the house may be built in stages over time, allowing greater flexibility for a growing family. It ranges from 2397 square feet to 2880 square feet, and is designed to be able to fit on a narrow urban lot. As Michaela says, "The modest size of the cottage with its low–pitched roof, gabled facade, horizontal bands of windows, and rich Craftsman detailing, help it fit into its neighborhood."

William J. Allison, AIA
Allison Ramsey Architects, Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 3513 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 3.5
An outdoor porch completely surrounds the house on all four sides, with a portion built as a screened porch. It can be accessed by double doors at the front and rear of the house, and by six other doors – three on each side. Truly an ideal house for a family that loves outdoor living. The interior floor plan is open and spacious, and the living areas feature vaulted ceilings with exposed wood trusses.

With its stepped roofs, wood shingles, and banded together decorative glass windows, this home is reminiscent of the Prairie style, which originated in the Midwest. While there were many architects that contributed to the development of the Prairie School, the works of Frank Lloyd Wright remain the best–known examples. This home features plenty of space to relax and entertain, with a lounge area, a game room and a media room on the upper floor.
Architect:
Jon Rentfrow

Total Sq. Ft.: 5075 Bedrooms: 4 Baths: 4.5
This beautiful home is reminiscent of an Italian villa, from the exterior finishes of stucco and stone, along with the tall narrow windows and gently sloped rooflines, to the arched openings of the rear loggia and the interior gallery. It features a circular stair tower that rises above the rest of the home, and a spacious living area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wood trusses.
