This log home has plenty of view windows at both the ground and upper levels. Exposed log purlins grace the ceilings throughout, including the vaulted ceiling in the great room, which has a log truss as well. A log truss and purlins are also exposed at the front and rear of the exterior, creating a warm, rustic appearance with well–crafted detailing.

The first things one notices when approaching this unique home are hipped roofs over an office/bedroom on the left and over the den on the right. Each room has a cathedral ceiling, and both are surrounded by lower and upper windows. With the exception of the office/bedroom above the garage, this is a one–story home with a complete lower level that walks out to the rear and side.

As its name and design would suggest, Emerald Island was originally designed for an island setting and a water view. One whole end of the home is a curved pilot house design with windows on three sides.

Multiple roof gables located at varying heights give this home an attractive and unique exterior, and give a hint to the more intimate spaces that are located inside. Wood cedar shingles along with brick and stone veneer combine to highlight the unusual rooflines, and the exterior walls are punctuated with abundant windows with small paned glass.

This striking home was originally designed for a sloped lot with views to the front. It's a split–level home with the Master Suite on the main level, with bedrooms a half level up over the garage. The exterior of the original house features a beautiful combination of stone veneer and vertical tongue and groove cedar siding, and a unique curved stone staircase at the front that takes you to the upper deck and entry of the house.
