Windy Ridge packs a lot of home and a lot of character into its relatively small footprint. Abundant windows and vaulted ceilings give the interior a light and open feel. A combination of cultured stone down low, horizontal 1/4 log wood siding in the middle, and vertical board and batten siding above, give the exterior it's rustic charm.

This beautiful home was originally built in Illinois, and is inspired by the Chicago Arts and Crafts bungalows. Designed by Michaela Mahady (the architect who designed our most popular home, the Maple Forest) and Debra Kees of SALA Architects, the house may be built in stages over time, allowing greater flexibility for a growing family. It ranges from 2397 square feet to 2880 square feet, and is designed to be able to fit on a narrow urban lot. As Michaela says, "The modest size of the cottage with its low–pitched roof, gabled facade, horizontal bands of windows, and rich Craftsman detailing, help it fit into its neighborhood."
