Carolina Craftsman Cottage

Architect: William J. Addison, AIA
Addison Rainey Architects

Total Sq. Ft.: 3025  Bedrooms: 4  Baths: 3.5

This Craftsman classic was designed for a family in the Carolinas, but it would fit into almost any neighbor anywhere you'd like to live. A 10'–deep covered porch spans the entire front of the house, while an even deeper porch spans the rear. The upper level includes a large master suite along with two additional bedrooms, and there's another bedroom on the main level for guests or older family members, which could of course be used for other purposes if you wish.

Maple Forest

Architect: Michaela Mahady, AIA, CID, Principal
SALA Architects, Inc.

Total Sq. Ft.: 2740  Bedrooms: 3  Baths: 3.5

This has been our best–selling home over the 9+ years we've been offering plans. The quintessential storybook house in the forest, with its handsome craftsman detailing, it just seems to affect folks in a way that no other home seems to do. Because it's been featured in books and magazines, we have tons of great photos to show you.

Cottage Revival

Architect: Deb Kees, AIA
SALA Architects, Inc.

Total Sq. Ft.: 1773  Bedrooms: 3  Baths: 2.5

While called a cottage, the style is closer to the classic farmhouse. Based on a simple rectangle, with straight walls rising from the ground to the eaves, this house was destined to be handsome and not fussy, employing fine materials and good workmanship. The inside also features a lot of wood detailing, including exposed beams and high wainscoting. This house has an away room at the front, a screened porch at the rear, and three bedrooms on the upper level. The plans come with either an attached 2–car garage, or without the garage.

Arts & Crafts Home

Architect: Christian Gladieux
Gladieux & Associates

Total Sq. Ft.: 3088  Bedrooms: 4  Baths: 2.5

The Arts & Crafts movement gave us the classic styling of Craftsman design. Thanks to its simple rectangular shape and simple rooflines, this two–story home can be built without breaking your budget, while still providing a wonderful look and feel inside and out. On the main level there's a master suite at the rear for peace and quiet, a 9'–deep porch across the front of the house, and a deck off the dining room for outdoor dining. Upstairs, in addition to three more bedrooms, there's a family room and an office space that could be used as a den.

Simple Solar Craftsman

Architect: Robert Hartford
Hartford Designs

Total Sq. Ft.: 2736  Bedrooms: 4  Baths: 2.5

This simple Craftsman–style home is only 32' wide, making it ideal for narrow lots in either an urban or rural setting. Attractive shed dormers on each side create enough space for 4 bedrooms on the upper level, allowing for more living space on the main level.
