Two Story House Plans
Our inventory of two story house plans continues to grow. Two story home plans are used to build houses that are less expensive to build – per square foot – than one story homes because the upper floor is considerably less costly to build than the ground floor. A number of our 2 story house plans and floor plans have the master bedroom on the main floor, which has become a very desirable design feature, particularly for baby boomers who are about to enter their sixties.
Common Characteristics of 2 Story Home Plans:
- Tend to have a smaller footprint than one story house plans
- Includes all but a handful of residential styles
- Are less expensive to heat than a one story home of the same size
- Typically have the bedrooms on the upper floor
